The Resort

Chamonix is one of the most accessible and exciting of the French ski resorts, approximately one hour’s drive from Geneva Airport or eight hours (560 miles) from Calais.

Over the past 30 years Chamonix has become known as the skiing and climbing capital of the world, with the highest cable-car in Europe, the Aiguille du Midi, taking you to an incomparable view of the Alps and Mont Blanc. It also gives access to the world famous ‘Vallee Blanche’; a twenty six kilometre run of stunning glacier scenery and skiing.

The town is vibrant all year round and provides an excellent base for a mountain break. As Chamonix is populated throughout the year, it has retained its wide selection of traditional cafes and tempting ‘patisseries’. For the all-important apres-ski, it has many bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

Indeed, it provides the perfect location whether you seek high adventure or just a well earned rest in the most breathtaking of surroundings.
